It's that time of year again! Our annual Down syndrome walk to help raise money for the DsNetwork of Arizona. This will be our 12th year being involved and raising funds for this excellent organization. Our family, and friends have raised well over $15,000 over these many years. WOW! We would love to have you join Team Alexandra on the walk on Nov. 19 at the ASU homecoming game parade. Thousands show up for this, it is a very fun day! "Team Alexandra" will be written on the back of the shirts becasue we raised over $750.00 She LOVES seeing her name on this every year. Please donate, and/or join our team to get a t-shirt!
Alex is in 7th grade now and is mostly living her best life. She is a full blown teenage girl now, with all the attitude and everything. Oh joy for her family ;) If you have ever been a teenage girl, or raised one, you know what I am talking about! She still loves all the sports, she is super into basketball and playing soccer at the moment. School is going well. She just wants her independence and we are trying to give her as much as we are comfortable with. She has great friends who help her with this as well. Please join our team, you can even be a "virtual" walker!
DSNetwork organizes an annual fundraising walk to benefit the vast array of services and programs for individuals with Down syndrome. 100% of the proceeds fund the mission of Down Syndrome Network to educate, advocate and support those touched by Down syndrome. In partnership with the ASU Homecoming parade, DSNetwork leads the parade with over 1500 individuals to show support and increase community awareness about Down syndrome. Please join us on Saturday, November 19.
